We were devastated. I was consoled by the fact that my child is being held by his papaws.
My dad's death taught me that people can grieve in unhealthy ways or for too long. A teacher once said that his mom never mentally left her dad's funeral. I have definitely witnessed this with some grieving parents. My advice for grieving parents is:
Grieve as hard as you can as soon as you can. Don't carry the grief around and don't let it define who you are. Define who you are based on your relationship with Jesus Christ.
God has been good to me. More than I deserve. I’m not angel dad. I’m a saved person who also happens to be an angel dad.
